Fly with Singapore Flyer

Yeah~ My weekend flew by... -.-
On Sunday, Puggy and I purchased a new zoom lens from Marina Sq. No $, so its a 3rd party lens, Sigma 18-250mm. With a lens filter which cost $***, we spent like a bomb on this!

After buying the lens, we went for Singapore Flyer straightaway to try it out. Didnt disappoint us! :) Can zooooooom soooooo farrrrrr!! And the lens also arrive just in time for my sis's ROM 2 weeks later :D

And before I noe it I just had a terrible Monday.
Tuesday blue looms.

My blog is getting mundane with "what I do over weekend" kind of content. I do have stuff to blog about...some thinking etc...but I just dont have the drive to blog about it with work and all. I rather be playing Pet Society or Bejeweled on Facebk. *shrugs* To sum it up, if anyone reading this is feeling depressed, just knoe that you're not alone and whining about your depression is not going to garner any consolation after a period of time. People just get bored of it. Only you can pull yourself out from it. 开心也是一天, 不快乐也是一天. Why not choose the former? I've seen too many depressed people, and despite how I help, they are still depressed. . . . -.-

2 hotels in 2 days

I manage to take more photos this time round cos I'm healthy! Must compensate for the lack of photos from Rasa Sentosa. Yup! Another stay at Orchard Hotel over the weekend! :D
They renovated the interior, nice!



Camwhore alot before Puggy's bro and gf came to join us. There is this 5th shot which Puggy don't allow me to post. But I thought its cute, so its still in my computer for keepsake :)
We went to Ion in the evening and ate ramen at basement 4. Saw Sebastian and friends.
Ramen was good. And so we went on to eat Tako Yaki, Peking duck, Hokkaido ice cream and steam fish with bacon and egg after that. Everything is delicious! But quite expensive. With my exploding stomach we walked ard Ion after dinner, and I bought my rum and raisin chocolate from Royce! Comfort indulgence! Then Puggy and I took a bus to Orchard Central to buy his game. Well known for their loooooooong escalators.

Took a bus back to the hotel. Saw alot of girls standing opposite forum to pick up men. Still very full, but Puggy's bro bought us Orange Julius hot dog and caramel drink to share. Then Puggy was engrossed reading his game catalogue while I entertain myself with the reading light.
Just 2 hours or so after hot dog, we ordered room service, after Puggy and bro came back with MacDonald nuggets. Its major non-stop eating. I literally feel my stomach surrendering.
Watched 我猜 and went to bed. Next morning, breakfast at Macs.


Checked out after that to go to Mandarin hotel Chatterbox for chicken rice!
They are still on the 39th floor. $24 for a set of chicken rice.

And that ends my weekend of food, food, and more food.

School was horrible these few days cos my buddy teacher is on MC for a week and I've to take over all her lessons. It is tough managing the kids by myself :( 2 more days of suffering before she's back. And I've yet to plan lesson for Tues. Grrrrr....Monday Blues is here to stay.

Rasa long weekend

Another outdated entry from the long weekend. Spent it falling sick @ Rasa Sentosa.

Thus, no photos at all. I literally spent days sleeping on hotel bed -_-". Ain't surprise when I see my pay slip yesterday. My medical bill amount to over $200!! And that was not inclusive the latest illness.

A job is still a job. I like my job but I still get totally emo and blue after the long weekend. And I am now already blue although there is still Sunday. Moral of the story is never to work too hard for a job. It is afterall just something you do to earn money for a living. My december holiday plans are slowly falling into place, but not booked yet :D Looking forward already!

Poisoning the Swans

Entries are outdated, and I'm still lacking one about T09 gathering.... I am down with fever, flu and cough now...gosh feeling like crap. After 2 days fever finally subsided. Hopefully I can go Sentosa tomorrow with Puggy and family...

Finally!

We went to the zoo! :D

Again, taking photos of the animals make us realise that we need a better lens. And the animals are so lazy! All of them are either sleeping or have their butts facing you, totally not keen in tourists. And each enclosure have only 1-3 animals. -_- Only the giraffes are cooperative.


We need zoom and wide lens for 自拍!



Rested at Ah Meng restaurant. Their lemon tea is very nice and comes in a big cup with an Ah Meng stirrer. $3.50 but totally worthy so we bought 2. And had laksa (also very nice!) for $6.90.

After rest we went to watch the splash show in a tiny amphitheatre.

The usual seal balancing balls and jumping to touch balls.

Here comes the highlight! Feeding animals!
I went to the zoo afew times eons ago but never once I tried feeding, so this time I must! Fed the giraffes! They are so gentle and they have long eyelashes! Jealous...

Cost $5 per feeding. Which is totally worth cos by then we were desperate for someone to take nice photos of us. And both of us get a go at feeding :) The person took almost 10 pictures with our camera. Puggy received a kiss (muacks) from the giraffe cos the person instructed us to place the carrot reallyyyy close to each other's faces. Giraffes have black tongue.

After the kiss, Puggy couldnt smile properly already hahahaha.
I had a great time at the zoo!
Singapore flyer is next on the list! :D

September Holidays!

Is it just me or blogger's problem? The photo uploading is faulty since eons ago and dragging them into the compose area using thumbnails totally upsets the quality of the pics. :(

Last Saturday, we celebrated my mummy's birthday at Toa Payoh Ichiban Sushi!

We planned to visit the zoo on Sunday because I've free entry as a teacher and that was the last day of the promotion. Unfortunately, it rained! :'( Puggy promised to bring me there, I hope it'll be sunny then.

Thats abt all for the first 2 days of my break.
Today is meant to stay at home to do some work + scrapping, but ended up spending the whole day on pet society lol. And notice I left something in the office which I need for my work. Guess I have to make a trip back! Argh.....

Before my blog decompose....

I think i better come back and write something :) Well today's TEACHER'S Day! My first teacher's day as a teacher! How excited. I used to look forward to the day of slacking in the hall as a student, watching the concert celebrations, this year is no different, but coupled with alot of presents! I feel like a star when I step into the hall in the morning.
And I didnt noe the tradition that teachers can give teachers presents too. These are from my colleagues but I did not prepare anything for them! Omg...pai seh.

Sadly after the celebrations, I realise that as a teacher, you don't really enjoy the concert afterall cos you will be busy managing the children -_-". The concert is actually meant for them. But well, its still a fulfilling day for me. I see my role and influence! I am the power! hahahahaha.

If you're wondering what's driving me nuts, it must be the series of unfortunate events im going through. From small incidents to big ones, I kena all. You name it I got it. Falling sick, falling down, injuries on body, injuries internally a.k.a disappointments....yada yada. This picture was taken when our attempt to eat at Astons Prime Restaurant is futile -- full reservations.

During the celebrations, my child fell on me and i fell down really unglamly in the middle of the entire hall, with everyoneeeee present -_-". I visited the doctor 6 times in 1 month. I nearly didnt make it for my project deadline when the video just don't play. I kena 2 incidents in school in a week- details cannot elaborate. I had a sty in my eye last Saturday.

I cant finish listing, cos after reading all you might feel you're getting my suay-ness also. But do hope that good luck will come soon ok? I had enough of suay. I understand already. Move on.

I met the girls and also Grace when I come back from Japan. Thanks for the presents! :)


Few days ago, I receive a registered mail. Presents from SFC! Viewed the DVD and again see my presents for him on the shelves. He displayed the "S" upside down -_-"


I watched UP with Puggy last Sunday. I really like the love story behind the adventure :)

Puggy just received his yr 2 results and we're glad he pass everything :D Gonna meet him later to celebrate. :) Love such days. Can I don't work tomorrow too?

日本游

This was how I spent my National Day long weekend -- Skip celebrations in school and make a mad rush to Japan for a short getaway :D It was hell long-awaited since July!


Boarded the monstrous A380 but this whole trip I didnt get my window seat!

Upon arrival in Japan (aw the torturous flight in economy seats), we inevitably find some signs with broken english in the airport itself.

Boarded the airport limousine (more comfy to sleep in than the A380) to get to our hotel in Shinjuku. Massive jam = 2hr journey.

We shopped in Isetan before checking in and had our first meal. This restaurant with a complete Jap menu and classic obasan waitress who knows no English. We had to pull her our of the restaurant to point at what we want. Lol. Quite hilarious.

More shopping on the streets after Isetan. Bought my hairdye and played arcade!

Finally can check in to Keio Plaza Hotel. We can see the metropolitan government building just opposite our room. Slack shit abit before heading out again.

Dinner that night was at a friendlier restaurant with english/picture menu. And this high tech button thingy which you can touch to call the waiters.

After dinner we head to Takashimaya Times Square! The stuff were freaking expensive we diverted to Tokyu Hands soon after. And we bought a Rilakuma bear there :) Unfortunately cant find my scrapbooking materials!

Went back to the hotel to bathe (finally), and then we went out to get supper at MacDonalds!

After Macs, we went up the the highest floor louge where we can snack for free. Complimentary service that comes along with our superior room.

Then its time to sleep as we mark the closing of tour Shinjuku!

Next morning, and its really morning, we woke up at SIN time 4am to have breakfast. Because our bus to Disneyland leaves 1 hr later. Gosh, I duno where I find the appetite to eat man..

Arrival after an hour or so! Disneyland Hotel!!
Very grand :)

Checked in our baggage first and off we go to DisneySea.
Took the sky train.

The looooong Q to get in because of the summer school holidays peak period.

The minute we enter we see Mickey! Thats the closest I can get hahaha.
He looks bothered. The person inside the costume must be cursing and swearing.
Our first ride was Storm Rider! (A 4D show)

Then as we find some characters along the way, Yizhen and I will chiong while the boys follow behind as photographers. That handsome ang mo is Indiana Jones btw.

And then its food, food and more food.

Under The Sea, Under The Sea!

Where we watched the mermaid theatre show. Last year it was renovating. Man, it was good, except the fact that the mermaid actually looks like a guy. Too bad no photography allowed. Its like those $100 show you pay for in stadiums you know.

And my act cute stint begins after I buy the minnie headband.



After DisneySea we took the train to Ikspiari for branded shopping!

Lunched there and again theres this high tech pager they give you at the foodcourt which will beep once your food is ready for collection. I am sua ku.

I think I probably ate 3 bowls of ramen for the whole trip. Thats 1 per day.

After return from Ikspiari where I bought nothing~~
We checked into our rooms!

Puggy's parents got the park grand view room where you can see the castle and main entrance!
I love our Peter Pan room's wallpaper! And how each person in the room is given a card key with our names printed on.

Even the dustbin and the toilet bowl control pad above the toilet paper amaze me.

Im sorry the tiny pictures doesnt illustrate the disney theme very well. But there are hidden mickeys / tinkerbell all around the decors of the room! Subtle and nice!

Then after being amazed by their service and the rooms, we got amazed by their Ice Room.
At the push of a button!

Puggy don't want to be the Beast lol.

After checking in and enough of resting, we went back to DisneySea for Part II.

I am so gonna gain weight with the tiramisu before bed!

Next morning, we woke up real early for DisneyLand.
Highlight of the whole trip!

I wore my Snow White shirt, tied 2 pony tails and wore the minnie headband.
Act cute to the max!

Even special entrance to the theme park took us quite long.

First ride is Space Mountain, this super fast roller coaster in the dark with tons of stars rushing into ur face. Good news is, I still enjoyed it since the last time I took it with my parents. Bad news is, because of the bread I ate in the morning, I puked while we were Q-ing to take photo with Mickey in ToonTown. :(

That legendary photo with Mickey. I went through so much for it lor. Luckily he gave me a kiss and said my headband is cute. I die with no regrets Hahaha.

Next on the itinery is Haunted Mansion!

Puggy was amused by the tombstone.

Then the must-take ride, Small Small World.

We mistook that character on the right to be 1 of the 7 dwarfs.
But he's actually a character from Peter Pan :X Oops.

Our lunch at Lucky nuggets cafe.
Followed by the afternoon show "Cool The Heat". Last year's was nicer!

Then we took a photo outside SweetHeart Cafe, just like what we did last year :)

Puggy refuse to buy the headband so I made him pose with me.

While we were returning to the hotel for dinner, we saw ALOT of characters outside!
Eeyore, Alice, the cricket and Pinnochio!

And the 7 dwarfs!
Angry was cute. He stamped his feet when he sees me. I stamped back. Then he repeatedly stamped many times before we took that photo. Then that ah pek dwarf touched my belly after I showed him snow white on my shirt. And he attempt to throw the bad apple away.

Shy pose is so adorable. haha. And Dopey, some little girl asked for his signature. He wrote it out slowly but with "e" and "y" mirrored. So cute!

Back to DisneyLand after tt for the night show.



We were actually late and missed the first part.
But I feel last year's was nicer!

Our level was Goofy on the stained glass window.

After bathing we walked around the hotel for phototaking.





Our last night of the trip! :(



We were really relieved to learn that we were not affected by this major typhoon that hit China/Taiwan region and Tokyo was raining superb heavily that morning. Everyone was braving the wind with their ponchos to walk into Disneyland!

We are also lucky to have missed the big earthquake after we left Japan.
Actually we felt a mini earthquake while we were shopping in the big Emporium of Disneyland, the chandeliers were shaking so badly!

Took the bus to Narita airport. Our lunch at the foodcourt.

Back to o-boring-Singapore.

And thats what I've bought. Severe damage with the last splurge on that Ralph Lauren Tote at the airport with whatever we have left. Cost almost $200. But am happy to find that Singapore stores are not selling :D My 2nd branded bag!

Though broke, I am looking forward to the next holiday already.
